Everything about it
In a live battle on PEE.CHAT, the audience is the jury. Two people face off on camera in timed rounds, and viewers vote for the side they think is doing better. Voting is free, so everyone watching can have a say in the result, whether or not they ever send a tip. This page is all about that vote: how to cast it step by step, how votes and rounds lead to the final result, why a vote and a tip are not the same thing, and how to judge a battle fairly. It works the same way on a computer, an iPhone or an Android phone, right in the web browser, with nothing to download.
How to vote in a live battle
First, open the Battle Camera page and choose a battle that is live right now. Voting happens while the battle runs, so live battles are where your vote counts.
Next, watch both cameras for a moment before you decide. You are judging two people, so give each side a fair look.
Then pick your side and vote. It costs nothing.
Finally, stay until the end. The battle continues over several timed rounds, and the result is only decided when the last one is over. Meanwhile, you can cheer your side and react in the chat; writing in the chat needs a free account.
How votes and rounds decide the result
A battle is played in timed rounds, and the audience votes while those rounds are running. It is these votes, cast during the rounds, that decide which side wins. That is why every round matters: a battler who starts slowly can still win the audience over, and a strong opening settles nothing on its own.
When the last round ends, the result is final. If one side has more support, it wins the battle, and the win counts on the Battle Camera leaderboard. If both sides finish level, the battle is a draw.
Once the battle is over, voting is closed. Finished public battles stay visible for 30 days, so you can come back and see how it ended.
A vote is free, a tip is optional
Votes and tips are two different things. A vote is free and says which side you prefer. A tip is an optional way to back a side with PCASH, BTC or PCHAT, sent from the wallet that comes with your free account.
You never need to tip to vote. Because voting costs nothing, the whole audience can take part in the result, not just the viewers who spend.
Tips follow their own rule: they are held in escrow until the battle ends, then the winner takes the pot minus a 2% fee. A draw or a cancelled battle refunds every tip.
How to be a fair judge
Judge what you see. Vote for the round, the performance or the idea that convinced you, not just for the name you already know.
Watch both sides. It is easy to look only at your favorite camera, so give the other one a real chance before you decide.
Stay to the last round. A battle can turn late, and you will vote with the full picture if you have followed it all.
Keep the chat friendly. Cheer your side without insulting the other one. If someone is abusive, use the report and block tools; PEE.CHAT also has moderation to keep battles enjoyable for everyone.
Frequently asked questions
Is voting in live battles really free?
Yes. Voting never costs anything on Battle Camera. Tips are a separate, optional way to back a side, and a battle can be set as paid to watch, but the vote itself is always free.
Can I vote after a battle has ended?
No. Votes are cast while the battle is live, during its timed rounds, and the result is final once the last round ends. Finished public battles stay visible for 30 days, so you can still see how they ended.
What happens if the vote ends in a tie?
If both sides finish level after the last round, the battle is a draw. There is no winner, and every tip placed on either side is refunded to the person who sent it.
Can I vote from my phone?
Yes. Battle Camera works in the mobile browser on iPhone and Android, as well as on a computer. You can add PEE.CHAT to your home screen to open it like an app, with nothing to install.
Does my single vote really matter?
Yes. Every viewer can vote, and the result is decided by the votes cast during the rounds. Battles can be close and a draw is possible, so each vote can make the difference between a win and a tie.
