Everything about it

Battle Camera is where two people face off live on PEE.CHAT. Each battler turns on their camera, the battle runs in timed rounds, and an audience follows it in real time. Viewers are not just spectators: they pick a side, talk in the chat, vote for free and, if they want, back their favorite with a tip in PCASH, BTC or PCHAT. It all happens in the web browser on a computer, an iPhone or an Android phone, with nothing to download. Below, you will find what a battle looks like, what you can do from the audience, what happens to tips when the final round ends, and how to start your own battle with a free account.

What is Battle Camera?

Battle Camera is a head-to-head format: two live cameras, two people, one audience. Instead of an open-ended stream, a battle is split into timed rounds, so it has a clear rhythm, a start and a finish.

During the rounds, the audience follows both sides, votes and reacts in the chat. When the last round ends, the battle has a winner, unless it ends in a draw. Wins count on the Battle Camera leaderboard, which lists the top battlers.

What happens on camera is up to the two battlers: a singing duel, a comedy face-off, a quiz, a talent show for two. The format stays the same, and the audience decides.

Four ways to take part from the audience

Open the Battle Camera page and choose a battle that is live. From there, you can do four things.

Pick a side. Every battle has two, and you decide which camera you are with.

Vote. Voting is free, and the votes help decide the result.

Chat. React to each round with the rest of the audience, in real time.

Tip. To back your side, send a tip in PCASH, BTC or PCHAT from the wallet that comes with every account. Tips are held in escrow until the battle is over.

Chatting and tipping need a free account, which takes a moment to create.

How to start your own battle

To battle, you need a free PEE.CHAT account and a camera. The webcam of a laptop or the front camera of a phone is enough. When your browser asks for access to the camera and microphone, allow it, then check your light and sound before going live.

Next, pick your opponent. You can challenge someone with an invitation link: send it to a friend, a rival or a creator you follow. Prepare one idea for each round, because the audience votes on what it sees.

A battle can also be set as paid to watch. In that case, the two battlers share that revenue.

What happens after the final round

When the last round ends, the result is final. The winner takes the tip pot, minus a 2% fee, and the win counts for the leaderboard. If the two sides finish level, the battle is a draw and every tip is refunded. The same goes for a battle that is cancelled.

Finished public battles stay visible for 30 days. That is handy if you missed a battle, if you want to see how a battler you like handles the rounds, or if you want to watch a future opponent before you challenge them.

Frequently asked questions

Is Battle Camera free?

Yes. Creating an account is free and voting costs nothing. Tips are optional. A battle can also be set as paid to watch; in that case, the two battlers share that revenue.

Do I need to download an app to watch or battle?

No. Battle Camera works in the web browser on computers, iPhones and Android phones. If you like, add PEE.CHAT to your home screen so it opens like an app, with nothing to install.

How do I challenge a friend to a battle?

With a free account, you can challenge someone with an invitation link. Send it to the friend or creator you want to face, then get ready: the battle takes place live, in timed rounds, in front of the audience.

Can I watch a battle I missed?

Finished public battles stay visible for 30 days, so you can catch up on a battle you missed. Voting and the live chat, however, happen while the battle is running, so be there live to have your say.

Is it safe to battle with people I do not know?

You can send your invitation link only to people you choose. PEE.CHAT also has reporting, blocking and moderation tools, and you can protect your account with two-factor authentication. If someone is disrespectful, report them.
