Omegle closed in November 2023. If you miss the simple ritual of opening a page, clicking once and finding a stranger on the other side of the screen, Talk to Stranger on PEE.CHAT is built around that same idea. Allow your camera and microphone, click to start, and you are on video with a random person. There is no account to create, nothing to download and nothing to pay. Enjoying the conversation? Keep talking. Not feeling it? Skip to someone new. To be clear from the start, PEE.CHAT is a separate site with no link to Omegle. Below you will find what people loved about Omegle, how Talk to Stranger works today, what to check in any alternative and what else PEE.CHAT has to offer.

What people loved about Omegle

Ask former regulars what they miss and the answers sound alike. It was instant: no profile to fill in, no photos to pick, no friend request to wait for. You started a chat and a stranger appeared, someone you would never have crossed paths with otherwise, maybe a student on another continent or a night owl from your own city.

It was also light. Nobody owed anybody a long conversation, and if a chat went nowhere, you simply moved on and tried again. Some chats were over in seconds, others went on for hours, and you never knew which kind was coming next.

That mix of surprise, speed and zero commitment is exactly what a good Omegle alternative has to keep.

What Talk to Stranger offers today

Talk to Stranger is the random video chat page of PEE.CHAT, and it keeps the essentials. Open it in your browser on a computer, an iPhone or an Android phone. When your browser asks, allow the camera and microphone; they stay off until you say yes.

Click to start and you are matched with a random person who is looking for a chat at the same moment. Talk for as long as you both enjoy it. When you want a new face, skip and the next match begins. To stop, simply leave the page.

It is free and needs no account: no email, no username, no password. If you come back often, add PEE.CHAT to your home screen and open it like an app.

What to check in any Omegle alternative

Whatever site you choose to talk to strangers, a quick checklist helps.

Can you start without handing over personal details? On Talk to Stranger there is no sign-up at all. Do you have to install a program? No, everything runs in the browser. Are you in control of your camera? Yes: nothing is shared until you allow it, and you can leave any chat in one click.

Also check what happens when someone behaves badly. PEE.CHAT lets you report and block people, and the site is moderated. Be wary of any site that asks for card details just to start talking, and never give a stranger your full name, your address or your phone number, wherever you meet them.

More than a random chat page

Talk to Stranger is one part of a bigger site, and the rest is there when one conversation is not enough.

In the live rooms, people talk in public video rooms that anyone can watch without an account. On Battle Camera, two cameras face off live in timed rounds while the audience chats and votes for free. The feed brings together posts from real creators, and any AI-generated photo or video is blocked at upload.

PEE.CHAT is available in 11 languages and can translate posts for you. If you want to stay in touch with someone you met at random, swap usernames: a free account lets you follow people, send private messages, chat in rooms and go live yourself.
