Watching other people's rooms is fun, but sooner or later you may want a place of your own: a room where you pick the theme, set the mood and welcome people on camera. On PEE.CHAT, any member can create a public live video room. You give it a name, write a short description, turn on your camera and you are live, straight from the web browser on a computer, an iPhone or an Android phone. Then you share your room's link. Anyone who opens it can watch without an account, and members with a free account can write in your room chat, turn on their own camera and send you tips. Below you will find each step, from choosing a name to welcoming your first viewers, and a plain explanation of how tips work.

Create your room in four steps

First, create a free account. It takes a few moments in the browser, and the wallet that receives tips is set up with it automatically.

Next, open the rooms page and start a new room. Give it a name and a short description; the section below explains how to make both work for you.

Then go live. When your browser asks for access to the camera and microphone, allow it. Face a window or a lamp, check what can be seen behind you and switch your camera on.

Finally, copy your room's link and send it to the people you want to invite. Your room is public, so people browsing the rooms page can drop in too.

A name and a description that bring people in

On the rooms page, your room's name is the first thing people read, so let it say what happens inside. “Sunday guitar practice”, “English for beginners” or “Late-night chat from Lisbon” tell a visitor far more than “My room”.

The description answers the next questions: what you talk about, which language you speak, what mood to expect and, if you have a routine, when you usually go live. Two or three short sentences are plenty. A simple line about manners, such as “be kind, stay on topic”, shows newcomers the tone before they write their first message.

Keep personal details out of both: no address, no phone number, nothing you would not tell a stranger.

Invite people with your room link

Every room has its own link. Send it to friends in a message, add it to the profiles where people already follow you, or share it with a group you would like to talk with. Say when you will be live, so they arrive at the right moment.

The people you invite do not have to install anything or sign up to watch: the link opens your room in their browser, on a computer or a phone. To write in the chat, turn on a camera or send you a tip, they create a free account in a few moments.

When they arrive, say hello and answer their messages. You are the host of your room, rooms also have moderators to help keep the conversation friendly, and anyone who crosses the line can be blocked and reported.

How tips work in your room

While you are live, members in your room can send you a tip in BTC, PCASH or PCHAT. The tip leaves the wallet that comes with their free account and reaches yours in seconds. Your wallet already has a Bitcoin address, created automatically, plus PCASH and PCHAT, so there is nothing to connect.

Tips are always voluntary. Watching your room stays free, nobody has to tip to stay, and many people will simply watch and chat. That is normal: there is no guaranteed amount, and a live can end without a single tip. Thank those who do send one, and never pressure anyone.
